Arjen Paardekooper studied Dutch civil law at Leyden University, The Netherlands.
He was awarded a fellowship by the European Commission, and he subsequently studied German law in Heidelberg, Germany, at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität.

After finishing his studies in Heidelberg, Arjen Paardekooper worked for a prime law firm in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Arjen followed a post-graduate program in Financing and Securities at Nijmegen University.

Arjen is fluent in both German and Dutch, and has knowledge of both the German and Dutch business law systems.
Apart from Dutch and German, Arjen also speaks and writes English and French.

Arjen is a member of the Dutch-German Law Association and the Dutch professional association of lawyers specialized in securities law (“Vereniging voor Effectenrecht”), and his main practice areas include:
