After reading law at the Erasmus University (Master Business Law) in Rotterdam, Willem-Jan wrote a second thesis (“Japanese and Dutch Trademark Law, a legal Comparison”) during an internship in Tokyo, and worked as a trainee on the island Curacao.

Willem-Jan joined an international law firm in 2006, and since then he gained experience in the areas of IP/IT law, M&A, contract law and commercial litigation.

He joined Blenheim in 2011 and mainly focuses on the following practice areas:

  • commercial litigation
  • company law
  • civil liability law and torts
  • contract law.

In 2009 -2010 Willem-Jan took part in the post-graduate course “Company and Liability” at the Grotius Academy of the University of Nijmegen. He completed the course successfully in June, 2010.

Willem-Jan speaks English and Dutch, and has a working knowledge of the German language.
